our neighbor dying
in the middle of the night,
having had a stroke soon after
she finished her nursing shift,
had gotten home and was just about
to put up her feet.

Cause theses are the things that we need
to talk about.

And if you’re still too young
to understand and actually
comprehend what
goes on in this world
well that, is a beautiful thing.

I am not going to tell you
about what’s going on in this world

But I do know that
I am going to need to show you
somehow instead.
